Period 1 - May 4th 2023

What an exceptional first day!

A bit of fog dampened our clothes (but not our spirits) on the morning of our season-opener session at the Powell II station.

We were joined by all members of our core team; Jodi, Jocelynn, Cammy, Peggy, Connor, and Clint.

A group of CA State Park employees also dropped in for a visit, prior to their day of Veldt Grass weeding nearby.

Net 3 stretched across a bed of white and gold wildflowers, lending a complementary backdrop to the cluster of 5 goldfinches we caught there.

A much needed veg tweak at net 2 kept us from catching Canis lupus familiaris and Homo sapiens.

Jodi kept us going with some delicious, home-made blueberry muffins.

Our team showed confidence, curiosity, and skill. Well done all!
