Already past halfway in the season if you can believe that!

We got eyes (and cameras) on the Northern Parula this session, thanks to our attentive CalPoly student visitors Emma Buckley and Eva Moylan. Jessica Griffiths heard this bird a few weeks back; guess it's still enjoying the scenery.

Extra-interesting birds of the day included a Downy Woodpecker and another Tree Swallow (only the 3rd since 2006, but 2nd one this season...! Let's hear some hypotheses. Limited sample size, I know.)
